Celeb Inspo 2023, so far..

we’ve reached the mid-year point of an incredible year of fashion, we’ve collated our favourite looks, and trends to keep in mind when styling your looks for the rest of this year

Style Spotlight: Rakul Preet Singh

Rakul’s been on the scene for a few years, but this year we’re really starting to see a shift in her style - she is killing it!

there isn’t a colour she can’t pull off, but those soft ivories, golds and yellow tones really make her glow - we’ve put together a selection of our favourite looks Rakul’s donned over the last 6 months, but be sure to keeping follow her style on Instagram!

we love that a lot of what Rakul wears, we can see ourselves wearing it too - simple elegance with a few pops of embroidery or embellishments

what’s really capturing our attention are all the saree looks she has chosen to wear - the lilac glitter saree by ItrhOfficial and the white Abhinav Mishra one are personal favourites!

Trending: The Saree

a tale as old as time, the nine yard wonder commonly known as the saree goes back thousands of years, and has evolved to be made from many different fabrications, styles and cuts - but the heart of the saree remains the incredible drape you can achieve, each way unique to many cultures across the world

designers Arpita Mehta and Manish Malhotra are leading the designer houses that are keeping the saree relevant for the younger generations, integrating sequins, ombre’s and bralet style blouses whilst still keeping the traditional element alive

our current two favourites we’ve got to highlight are Lisa Haydon’s white and gold saree by Arpita, and Ananya Panday’s blue and white saree by Manish - both so simple yet so elegant, perfect for any occasion for years to come

Shanaya Kapoor and Suhana Khan are two youngers to watch, both frequently seen in saree’s at many functions, like the NMACC opening in Mumbai

Trending: Co-ord Looks

a style that has been around for a couple years now, but it’s here to stay - jackets and capes of all lengths continue to be dominating these co-ord looks, and have evolved to be heavier, more beaded and statement

Colour on the Rise - White

not a colour that’s popular to wear in the UK or Europe - but it’s been trending in India and the US for years, for bridesmaids, wedding guests and award functions - a colour that looks great on all skin tones, and the perfect blank canvas to create something beautiful

all the major fashion houses are releasing collections with more white “wedding guest” or daywear clothing

some inspo for the men..

similarly to women’s trends - it’s all about those white and ivory tones, whether it’s a simple kurta like Ahan or a layered look like Ranveer, it’s giving Royal Luxe - as is the all black looks Sid and Hritik are sporting, very un-traditional, but very cool
